The BigRead has taken place during Lent for the past couple of years and seeks to encourage churches and individuals to engage in reading the bible together. This year’s readings come from Mark’s gospel and like in previous years is based on the Lectionary, supported by the prolific work of Tom Wright. The book to accompany this year’s project is Lent for Everyone – Mark Year B.
There are various materials available to guide your reading through Lent, including videos featuring Tom Wright himself. As week 1 begins you can watch the first in the series here to set you on your way.
The BigRead has also sought to encrouage disciples in the digital world too and there is a big emphasis on using social media to extend the conversations beyond conventional spaces.
